Green Opal
Australian opal that has a very dominant green play of color is often called green opal and can be on black, crystal or dark crystal opal. Australian green opals are found in all the mining areas of Australia including Andamooka, Coober Pedy, Lightning Ridge and Mintabie.
The demand for green opal and green/blue opal has increased significantly over the last 7 years with green opal becoming very popular in opal jewelry, including rings, pendants, earrings and body jewelry.
