A warm hello to all our customers and subscribers. I do hope it's warmer in your part of the world because I have to tell, you it's freezing here right now. This is our third newsletter for 2006 and again we have some fantastic news and a few great new additions to our online store, which we thought may be of interest.

Great July Specials

Free Shipping to the US

Yes folks, you heard correctly, for a limited time opal-trader.com is offering free shipping (via air-mail) to the US. Plus orders sent via FedEx to the US are also being discounted. Take us up on this offer while you can.

Opal Inlay Pendants

Until the end of July (and possibly for a short time in August) we are offering a discount of 20% on all our opal inlay pendants. These pendants are made to order, so you can decide if you like white or yellow gold in 14ct or 18ct. All our inlay pendants are made by our specialist inlay jeweler and we use only very high quality crystal opals in red, green-orange, blue, green and other colors. So come on in, select your preferred metal type and opal color and we'll make that inlay pendant just for you, or that someone special in your life.

New Addittions

Opal Bracelets and Bangles

We have just added the first of our stunning and elegant opal bracelets and bangles, so please feel free to have a look at them also. We only have a couple on the site right now but there will be more designs and styles available in the coming months.

Opal Cufflinks

A small selection of opal cufflinks has been added to our online store since our last newsletter. These cufflinks are gold plated and have opal triplets set in them. We hope to increase our selection of opal cufflinks in the near future.

Opal Snails

We have been fortunate enough to come across some fossil opal snails, a true rarity indeed. Now I know all you lovers of opal fossils are going to love these 150 million year old sea snails as much as we do.

PayPal

Due to popular demand we have opened a verified PayPal account, and we can now receive money for purchases using PayPal. If you find something in our online store that catches your eye, just send us an email with the product number and we will advise you of our email address. Then it's as simple as visiting PayPal and selecting the 'send money' option. Paypal offers great buyer protection as well as being a very secure payment transfer provider.

We are currently in the process of setting up our site, so we can offer direct payments via PayPal and we are hoping to have everything operational within the next few weeks (fingers crossed).

This will then give us the capability to offer our customers 'Gift Certificates' and 'Lay-bys' as part of our services.

Recently I acquired a rather extraordinary opal gemstone for our store, and thought I'd mention it here for all you lovers of opal. Stones of this size and color are quite rare and we're fortunate to have this gem. If you would like to see something special, then just click on this link and enjoy the beauty.... and believe it or not, this opal looks at least as good in real life as it does in the photos.
