Coober Pedy Opal Belemnite
Crystal Fossil Opal
The first thing I notice when I hold these two gorgeous opal belemnites in my hand is that they were once a single squid pipe that has been broken, probably whilst being mined. With a unique broadflash that is not regularly seen in a belemnite, you will fall in love with these two the moment you hold them.
Flashes of green orange will dance in a stunning array, while other colors such as red, yellow, blue and purple are also going to have their time in the spotlight. Combined they weigh a hefty 59cts, with the larger piece measuring 43 x 13.8 x 20.8mm and the smaller 37.1 x 13 x 18.7mm.
Both pipes have been left with the back left natural and some of the sides also. When it comes to deciding on what you may do with two specimens such as these…I might suggest having them set as pendants in a 'his and her' type of setting. Maybe we can assist you with designs or ideas?
