The photos of these fossilized opal snails doesn't quite capture the amount of color that is visible when viewing them. The smaller piece is 10 x 13mm and shows plenty of green with a great bold streak of red visible from certain angles. While the larger snail is 16 x 17mm and is rather fetching when you hold it in your hand and turn slowly. From shades of greens, blues and purples turn it some more and it appears you can see into the very centre of the snail.
